I went Raft Riding last night!

It’s not often that I remember my dreams no matter how hard I try but the one I had last night was very clear. It went like this … I was asked to take a ride on a raft with another person (whom I cannot recall) and an experienced “rafter”. It was a pretty sturdy raft with unusually high sides, round and robust and you could hold onto the handles, but surprisingly no oars. I was a little anxious getting […]

Transitions

It’s day 10 into 2014 and I am already feeling changes in terms of my drive and focus to what I am going to achieve this year. This blog is another one of those wake up in the morning expressions of my thoughts and having to get it out there! In the middle of my prayers and acknowledging the universe I asked for help with my transition from my current lifestyle to my passion. There are many of us out […]

Possibly the worst event EVER! Part 2

So, warning No. 5 came very swiftly indeed with confirmation that the night was in full and final slapdashery. I realised then what the co-ordinator’s “emergency” was when the Tesco Everyday Value Pure Orange Juice and Sirma Water bottles made a grand entrance into the room – in plastic bags! How can you not have drinks for your guests and then not even try to present the drinks in jugs or anything decent. Not even a bar or anything alcoholic […]

Something I would do again!

"Dionne came to my house for a mosaic party, ten of my daughters friends (all 5 year old girls) on our kitchen floor making tiles.

It was a fun filled time and all the girls loved it especially the glitter tiles! Dionne was great and it is something I would do again."

Dionne is a talented ambitious and enthusiastic artist!

"It's been a great pleasure and a real cultural benefit to work together with Dionne, setting up together a group show including her artwork at Open The Gate.

What an honor to have her creative and mature pieces delivered in a fine display on our gallery walls! Beside the exhibition we had the opportunity to host two of her children mosaic workshops that were successful: both children and parents attended and had a memorable time discovering and learning mosaic with her in a playful atmosphere.

Dionne is a talented ambitious and enthusiastic artist with a real message and vision we would like to work again with!"

Stunning Results!!

I asked Dionne to create three designs from a piece of african cloth I found on the internet.

Due to her fabulous creativity she designed exactly what I wanted as she incorporated her own style. The results are stunning.

I will be asking Dionne to create me another masterpiece in the very near future.
